About me:
I was born in 1978 in the oldest city of Germany, Trier.
In 1993 -1996 I made a successful apprenticeship to become a painter. After years of autodidactic training with the physical airbrush, I decided to study at the IbKK in Bochum/Germany. From 2002 to 2007 I studied Airbrush-Design and did my masterclass in illustration. Since 2009 I´m working as a freelance illustrator and create cover artworks for international renowned publishers and authors. In 2011 I released my first artbook entitled Fantabulous Visions*, which shows the wide variety of commercial work, but also the collaboration efforts with models and photographers from around the globe. In this blog (http://fantasiox.blogspot.com) I write about development and thought processes, as also about artist and freelance related things, like marketing and publication.
Where possible I participates in exhibitions and conventions, on-and-offline. My work is regularly published in annual artbooks and magazines, like Heavy Metal Magazine, ImagineFX, 2Dartist Magazine, Exposé, Exotique and some titles from Ilex Press. Recently I was awarded with an excellence achievement in Exposé #8 (Ballistic Publishing).
My client list includes publishers like: Randomhouse, Piper, Bastei Lübbe, Weltbild, Prime Books, Droemer Knaur and Klett Cotta / Hobbit Press.
